## Website and analytics

Verstos.fi is a public company and portfolio website. It does not provide user accounts, checkout, a contact form, behavioural advertising, or an authenticated customer area.

The hosting infrastructure necessarily processes technical request information such as the requested URL, time, browser information, and network address to deliver the site securely and reliably.

The site uses a self-hosted Umami analytics installation to understand aggregate page use. Umami runs without advertising cookies and is not used to build cross-site profiles. Analytics can include the visited page, referrer, device and browser category, and approximate location derived from technical request data. Verstos uses this information to maintain the site and understand which public pages are useful.

## Direct enquiries

If you send email, call, or contact Janne Ikola through LinkedIn, Verstos processes the information you choose to provide together with ordinary message metadata. The purposes are to answer the enquiry, maintain relevant correspondence, protect legal rights, and meet accounting or other statutory duties when applicable.

The legal basis depends on context: taking steps at your request, performing an agreement, complying with legal obligations, or Verstos Oy's legitimate interest in communicating and keeping appropriate business records. Do not send unnecessary sensitive personal data, passwords, or API credentials.

## Providers, international processing, and retention

The website and self-hosted analytics run on Railway infrastructure. Domain and network services may process requests as part of delivering the site. Email and LinkedIn messages are processed by the relevant communication providers under their own terms. Providers may process data outside Finland or the European Economic Area using safeguards available under applicable data-protection law.

Self-hosted Umami data is not deleted automatically by default and may remain until Verstos deletes it. A fixed public analytics-retention period has not been set. Direct correspondence is retained as long as needed to answer the matter and, where relevant, document an agreement or comply with statutory retention periods. Data no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

## Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, consent can be withdrawn for the future.
